About The Prints
To date we have released 43 limited editions of Beryl’s work, 40 published as signed limited editions during her lifetime and 3 as posthumous unsigned limited editions which, to differentiate them from the signed editions, are now known as Official Collectors Editions
All 43 prints are exact reproductions of the original paintings printed to the highest possible standard on heavyweight paper.
Edition Sizes
Edition sizes have varied slightly over the years. Initially the edition was 750; this was raised in 1982 to 850 and then reduced in 1994 to 650, a limit which remains in place today.
Numbering & Stamping
All the prints bear either a penciled edition number or a number code. The latter can be found in the bottom left hand corner, below the colour surface of the print as part of the embossed stamp of The Fine Art Trade Guild. The code begins with AAA to represent number 001 of the edition and using ten of the first eleven letters of the alphabet continues to KEL which represents the final print, number 850 of the edition.
The FATG stamping system was used until 1995 when, in common with many other publishers, we began to use our own publishers stamp (AGP) and a penciled edition number in the bottom left hand corner. Beryl’s signature appears in the bottom right hand corner on all signed prints.
Certificates of Authenticity
Certificates of Authenticity were introduced in 2002 with the publication of
Shall We Dance? A new style individually numbered certificate has been created to accompany the Official Collectors Edition prints.
